New Delhi, May 3: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi hoped that the auspicious occasion could enhance the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood in our society. “May everyone be blessed with good health and prosperity,” he said.
Eid al-Fitr, ”the festival of the breaking of the fast,” marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims believe that Ramadan teaches them self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for the less fortunate. It also encourages generosity and compulsory charity.
